I love transforming spaces into ones that combine both beauty and function. Whether it’s a powder room, a home office, or a complete home renovation, creating a design that stands out while making people feel completely welcome is why I love what I do.
Ever since I was little I was into art and being creative. I loved painting and drawing, and especially loved dreaming up new ways to decorate my room. Now, this was the 90’s so my “designs” involved a lot of colourful sponge painting and satin drapery, but I just like to think of that as me staying on trend. As I grew up my interest in design continued, and I’m happy to say my design style also evolved with the times. I had collections of interior decorating magazines, I refinished and repurposed furniture, and I was the go-to person in my family for feedback on decorating.
After high school I pursued a career in Massage Therapy with the intent on working with athletes, and I continued with that for 7 years. All that changed when I met my husband, Mike, in 2008. He had just started his own construction company, Sunrise Construction, and I became his go-to admin whenever I wasn’t doing Massage. As my role evolved so did my innate passion. I said good-bye to my career as a Registered Massage Therapist, and was quickly transitioning into the role of designer for our construction projects.
While I was already offering some basic design consulting, I figured it was time for some official training. I received my Ultimate Decorating and Re-Design certification from The Ultimate Design Academy, and I was excited to get to work transforming spaces for my clients. Whether it’s designing a bold new master ensuite or an instagram-worthy home office space, I enjoy the creative process and final product that comes with the work I do for my clients. I’ve worked with residential homeowners on budget friendly face lifts, as well as complete home renovations and prepping homes for sale.
No matter the project size or budget, I am truly passionate about designing spaces that are both practical and appealing. I want to give my clients a timeless palette, letting their own personalities shine through.
